Norwegian Sea Rescue

The Norwegian Sea Rescue is a humanitarian, membership based organization. Their object is four-fold; to save lives, protect assets, safeguard the coastal environment and pursue information activities for the prevention of accidents and loss of life at sea.

To ensure that their rescue vessels are ready and able to continue saving lives and assets, they are dependent on membership fees, private gifts and other contributions.

The rescue vessel RS 137 "Kristian Gerhard Jebsen" was donated to the Norwegian Sea Rescue by Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi AS in 2006. Click here for statistics about the rescue vessel.

The rescue vessel RS 163 "Kristian Gerhard Jebsen II" was partially funded by Stiftelsen Kristian Gerhard Jebsen in 2017.
