KGJS’ first ESG Report was published in 2020. Working on the report, we found that even though KGJS has well-established best practices for ESG, there was still room for improvement. We have incorporated a selection of the Global Sustainability Goals (SDG) developed by the UN as important building blocks in our ESG framework. There is no set standard for ESG reporting, but we have found the guidelines developed by Norges Rederiforbund to be helpful.

The focus areas which have been selected are gender equality, responsible consumption and production, climate action, life below water and peace, justice and strong institutions. Moving forward, we will work to further improve our focus on ESG and establish and implement KPI’s both internally and externally.
